Coconut OIL!

So, I know that this is a trend right now. like Kale was.. or is.. Not that they aren't great for your regardless of trend but.. it seems to be everywhere..

Anywho.. Don't like Kale.. But tried the coconut oil.. I've used it on everything.. and I mean on my body. I use it as moisturizer on my my skin, I conditioned my hair, I put some in my tea.. My skin looks shiny and not dull and ashy like it looks in the winter..

It can be greasy so use sparingly. but I'm curious.. if anyone else uses it. and how?

I do, it's a great moisturizer and its great for cooking too. Also have you tried oil pulling, where you swish a teaspoon of coconut oil in between your teeth it helps keep them strong. I eat kale too.

I LOVE coconut oil. One of my very favorite ways to use it is to put it in my hot coffee and mix it up in my bullet until it is creamy. So freaking good for your brain. Coconut oil does not need to be broken down like other foods do for the brain to use it. It is the perfect brain food and may help fight Alzheimer's. We use it because it is good with autism. It is anti-fungal and anti-viral, and anti-bacteria. It will kill yeast (a fungus) really well in your gut or on your skin. We fry our eggs in it. You can use it on your toast, or under peanut butter. Use it like butter (which I will also put in my coffee! if it is grass fed butter)

We use coconut oil as lotion, diaper rash cream, boo boo cream, itching, hair, and chapstick. I also put a scoop on my dogs food because it helps keep with skin and coat nice and shiny and soft. Some people claim they eat spoonfuls of it to help with various medical issues and I am not sure I believe it. I have heard from multiple people who eat it that they had major loose bowel issues when they took it.

if you use it and you have any disbiosis it can cause loose bowels because it is killing of bacteria and fungus that is causing issues. you should be able to start slowly on it and see benefits. It is actually a really good thing to eat. As I said I put it in my coffee and my kids eat it off the spoon.

I have yet to use it, but just bought a jar of it from Marshalls for $4.99 the other night! I can't wait to try it out! Has anyone heard about oil pulling? I want to try that.
