Some children will have problems with bed wetting for years and there is nothing that can be done about it. They are physically not capable of holding their pee or waking up during the night to go to bed. It is important not to shame them or make them think they are doing anything wrong. Limiting water is a good idea and having him wear pull ups is good too. I would just not worry about it and let him develop on his own at his own pace. It will pass and stop eventually on it's own.

Not going to lie at first when he turned five I was upset at him for still wetting the bed and just the other day I was thinking just to let it go and in time this will go away but sometimes he cry's because he wants to wear underwear and I tell him that he has to wait until he stops peeing the bed

Let him wear underwear on over the pull up. That helped my daughter feel better about wearing diapers still.

My nephew still has that problem. I would use the goodnight pull-up diapers and keep trying to get them to use the potty before bed.
