Getting Pregnant with Only One Fallopian Tube

It is possible to get pregnant with only one fallopian tube.

Each month you will ovulate one egg, that egg will travel down your fallopian tube. To get fertilized that egg will have to meet with sperm. Once an egg is fertilized it will move down into the uterus and implant into the lining. Generally your ovaries will take turns each month on which ovary is going to ovulate.

If you only have one fallopian tube then you are probably only able to conceive every other month since only the eggs from one ovary will be able to get to the uterus. If you only have one fallopian tube you will still be able to get pregnant but it may take you longer.

If you have tried to get pregnant for an extended period of time it is best to talk to your doctor about other options available for you to get pregnant.
