Interesting! My husband is ADHD but has only ever tried medication. Maybe I'll encourage him to do some high energy workouts and see if that helps him at all. Thanks so much for the advice!

I did not know hard workouts were an option. How exactly does that help them? I feel like I am missing something. Thank you for sharing.

it wears him out alot and releases those brain chemicals like it would for anybody , and by hard workouts i mean with a personal trainer that knows how to do things the right way and what things to do

Another good tool is letting them talk to a counselor. The one my daughter has helped her learn how to stay focused a little bit more than she had been able to. It really was a huge help! She's 15 now and non medicated, although she knows that it's available to her if she wants to try it again.

There are also ADHD meds out now that are non stimulant. Very exciting for the kids who are sensitive to the stimulants.

oh yes , my kid has been on many ADHD MEDS at diff times , for him only the stimulents worked but i hated medicating him , and he has been med free for 1 year and 8 months now after being on meds for 8 years , but i am seeing things coming back that the meds helped alot with
