    Oh no! Do tell!!

My husband is Mexican and I am as white girl as they come, so my kids are very used to different skin tones - everyone in our family is a different shade. So it came as a complete shock to me when we were at the post office the other day and Audrey pointed to the man in front of us and in her perfectly clear 3 year old voice asked "MOM! WHY IS THAT MAN'S SKIN SO BLACK?" I just wanted to crawl into the floor. I was mortified, but ended up telling her "Because that's the way God made him"

lol I have had that happen to me before, my daughter is very out spoken. I am Puerto rican, my oldest son is puertorican and Mexican. and my other 3 are Puerto rican and Mexican(tejano Mexican) and Cherokee indian. but we are all very light. they aren't ue to seeing a lot of dark skinned or even tan skin unless we are out and about. one of the worst things my daughter said when she saw a Islamic man was, mommy why is he wearing his towel on his head outside, he looks crazy. everyone looked straight back at us.. ihad to explain to hr that it is apart of their culture...

I think either fussy or acting out in public, though a couple of our children have said embarrassing things too.

I am a mother of 4 kids, and soon to be wife. I have a autistic child, and dedicate my time to raising my kid the best I can and am looking to make friends with other mothers who can understand what it is to be a mommy.
