..getting that shower in!

Ha! So this was always on my mind BEFORE Monroe came along.. but I always wondered how Moms squeezed in a shower while at home with the baby.. what a balancing act! :)

What I have been doing so far is... I either wait until I have just fed Monroe or just bathed Monroe.. I get the bouncer out, set it next to the shower, get him all settled in there, bouncing, music playing, paci in.. and wait until he either seems content or about to doze off.. then I hop in! So far, it has worked!! Post bath.. he ZONKS out.. and sometimes, in the morning when he is super happy.. he just chills :) I probably just jinxed myself by posting this.. but I would love to hear what you Mamas make work in your home to get that shower in! :)

I give the big kids TV time (or they are at school M/W/F) and put Hayden down for her morning nap - she usually goes down around 9:30 or 10, and then it's lightning fast shower and get dressed!

That is pretty much how I did it too, unless hubby was home. Later children it was different too as I had older children to help.

I remember when my girls were really little, Myla was a little over one and Zayla was a couple months old, I'd buckle Myla in the highchair with some toys and put Zayla in her bouncy seat, all in the bathroom. I defintley don't miss that part lol. Now I can turn on some cartoons in the morning and they usually set still for about 10 mins, long enough for a quick shower.
