Expect everything to change, but in a good way!

I now have 2 kids but I found (with me anyways) that bringing home your first baby is the hardest. Not only is the baby new but so are you in a sense. Everything is not only new to the baby but to you as well. You have to learn how to take care of this little bundle of joy you just brought home. Expect to be tired and stressed from time to time. You will feel so incredibly loved though. This little baby depends on you for everything. When I brought home my second child, it was easier for me to sort of get him on a routine because I have already been through this part once already. I am not nearly as tired as I was when I brought home my first child. Yes I am up on and off at night to feed him but he goes right back to bed for me after he is done nursing. I have found that a routine is key, and makes things so much easier on you and baby will learn to know what to expect. You just get used to it I supposed and everything seems easier. I have a 19 month old and an almost 2 month old.

Yes, I found with each child there was a period of adjustment. The biggest was getting to know the brand new person we brought home.
Yes, I think getting used to your new sleep schedule and figuring out a routine was much easier the second time around... and the third time I felt like nothing had even changed as far as sleep goes ;)
