Early bed. For all.

Since the earthquake my kids have been in my bed. And I said that was fine one night and last night they both came in again.
I love them on each side of me but they're not tiny anymore and are like body ovens and I'm sandwiched and hot and none of us sleep well.

They're better today. No mention of the earthquake and no questions if its going to happen again and no one is jumping every time out apartment shakes from our neighbors closing their door.

So I look forward to them asleep on time. In their own beds and I won't be far behind in mine. Alone.

We live in Los Angeles, CA. I'm a writer, comedian, actor and single mom of two. Parenting is hard. I try to keep a sense of humor about it all and find the find the funny... in what is most likely NOT funny (i.e. boogers, meltdowns, homework, etc.).
