It breaks my heart to see him shed a tear...

My hubby is more the disciplinarian. I am more of the softy and understanding one. I do have a step-daughter. I have much more patience than he does though. My nieces and nephews always came to me for comfort. When my son (he was born Jan 2014) isn't feeling well, he definitely wants Mommy. He also laughs for me but rarely does for his father. He most definitely is a "momma's boy." I try to hold it together when he has to get shots, his blood drawn, and other things that make him cry. I was a mess on the day of his circumcision. He will be having some upcoming surgeries on his hands. I worry about that as well...just the idea of them cutting into my baby frightens me so. :/

It makes us feel special when they are. I secretly say, "Oh yeah" when he prefers mommy over daddy. He does love his daddy but mommy is always first. :p

I'm with ya! It's hard to see your baby cry for any reason, especially if you disciplining them is the cause. But I figure you have to set rules and enforce them, or the tears might be coming from you instead when you have an unruly teenager on your hands!

I do agree with that. It is tough laying down the law but it must be done. I understand the phrase now: "this will hurt me more than it does you" because I have had to be stern with a few nieces, nephews, and a step-daughter before I had my son. It was never easy. I felt like the dirt or the bad guy an awful lot.

I'm like Mandi. I can have a hard time with seeing my children gushing blood from cuts. I can take care of it when I have to but if my hubby is home he deals with it.

My children will go to either one of us... and latch on to the one giving the most sympathy at the moment! LOL!
