At what stage in pregnancy do you begin eating a lot?

During my pregnancy people would say your eating for two so eat. I wasn't very hungry, I ate normal meals and healthy snacks if any. It all depends on you. Every pregnancy is different. Inadequate nutrition during pregnancy is thought to have lifelong effects on a baby's health.
If you're at a healthy weight, you need no additional calories in the first trimester, about 350 extra calories a day in the second trimester, and about 450 extra calories a day in the third trimester. If you're overweight or underweight, you'll need more or less than this depending on your weight gain goal. Talk to your OBGYN about how much you should be ingesting.

Another thing to remember is sometimes hunger signals aren't really hunger signals but your body's way of telling you to drink more. At least that's what I have been told.

Also things you crave signify that your missing some kind of vitamin or mineral or not enough hydration.

Do you or SHOULD you...lol... I was starving in the beginning..

My Doctor politely reminded me that while I was eating for two.. the second part of the two was as big is a superball.. So, that eating for two is a myth of sorts.. you may need to up your calories.. but in a healthy way.. not actual food content.. like i was doing.. darn.
