Kids school, Help!!!

So i have a dilemma # of my kids are in Elem. school and it seems like the school wont listen to anything we say or my children have to say. We want to change schools but have no idea i was thinking about home schooling our children but the husband doesn't think i can handle it. I have already talked to the school board and they say they have done what they could. Home school and privet school is way expensive for us and the ex husband cant help with any of the cost for two of my children. Any suggestions on what i can do to help my children and their academics?? My youngest doesn't want to even go to school anymore that he tried running way at recess.

Wow that's awful, you should look into other schools or home schooling!

You said you are a teacher his teacher doesn't challenge him and said that she doesnt have time to get him harder work for homework. I don't understand why she doesn't want to push his education and tell me that i have to find a way to challenge him here at home.

Thank you Christina for that information. He's almost 2 grade levels advanced in his academics. So i have went to Education.com and get harder work for him and work with him at home. But its getting hard because im not to sure on what he really needs to learn at that level. Hes one of the children that you show him how to do it once and he has it down.

Here in rockford there is and the next one is in June. His father and i are going to get him tested but i talked to the personal that runs the program said that there is a chance he cn't get in there because he doesn't really think before he does. And we are working the hardest on that so if he does test to get in he has a better chance to be excepted

The principle has been called and talked to. They arent giving the children the level they are at and need to work on. They think that everything that comes out my kids mouth is a lie and have asked they second youngest why he lied about an issue that he tried to tell about before even looking into it. The teacher doesn't even know when he is there or not anymore so they dont even pay attention to him in school.

You can homeschool on a shoe string budget if you plan ahead and seek out used curriculum sales or information online. Remember anything you buy can be used for the children after. Feel free to ask me specific questions. I have a few posts written on this topic already....

There was another one too that shared how to start homeschooling but I cannot find it. I'd visit hslda.org to find out what your state requirements are first. Then you should be able to google free homeschool resources and terms like it to find free stuff. See what you come up with and if you think you could organize lessons for your children from what you find. If not, then perhaps used curriculum is the way to go.
