Time & Changes

I think it takes some time and some changes to your current schedule. Charlie had this bizarre burst of energy at midnight. I had to remind myself that babies only have the routines we give them. So I backed up my schedule a bit, kept him awake for a little while longer before he went down for a nap and went to bed earlier myself. After about 2 weeks it got better. Now he goes to bed around 9:30. Be patient! That's the most important thing, it will not happen overnight but it will happen if you are consistent.

Good advice! Those routines tend to change several times during the first year too so it's always good not to get "stuck", as baby changes so much and so fast.
