Morning sickness

Since this is my first, I have no idea what to expect! I am feeling a little nauseous in the morning, but no vomiting. What else can I expect? I find out next week exactly how far along I am!

I was nauseous primarily in the evenings when I got home from work and then during the night when I was trying to sleep. I kept crackers by the bed so I had a couple before I got up in the morning and if I woke up with an upset tummy. My husband would usually grab me some ginger ale if I needed it. I have a sensitive tummy the way it was, so it lasted for me until about 18 weeks and then came back around 30/32 weeks for just a few weeks. Everyone is different; just find out works to help soothe your tummy and don't think about it too much.

That would be tough not being able to eat crackers! At some point I discovered grahm crackers also helped when it was mild nausea and powerade. I remember drinking a lot of powerade to keep hydrated when water did not taste good!

I'm sure that would be. There were some foods, though more so smells that bothered me. One of them was coffee! I am still working to acquire the taste again since I have always loved it. The one thing that was the worst for me was asiago cheese. That practically made me vomit immediately if I could not get away from the smell. I discovered this during a business meeting and got out of the room very quickly!
