Can you make enough online to support a family

Yes, you can make enough online to support a family but it doesn't happen overnight and it may not happen all in one place. You may need to find a few different online jobs to make enough to support your family.

It takes a lot of hard work, just be prepared. If you aren't willing to put in the work, don't expect the income to be there.

I have trouble finding the opportunities and wonder whether they are legit or not.

I agree... the only thing I have found is that since most of my jobs contracted they are not guaranteed forever. This means I work on a job to job basis. This can be hard. Although I work 3 online jobs two are steady pay and the one that is contracted is harder although it pays the best they do not always give me constant work!

I think it helps if you have a particular skill. I used to do freelance admin work on Elance.com but was competing against so many others who were prepared to work for nothing it was hard. I imagine if you can speak an extra language there's a lot of people who need translation work and things like that. Or if you're good with web page design or graphic design there's always a market out there for those sorts of jobs.
