4 months for mine

My son just had his 4 month check up and the doctor told me he's ready to try some food. I'm so excited about it. We made up some oatmeal cereal that night for him to try and he had a great time eating it. So far he's taking to it well but doesn't eat a lot before he's tired of it. I'm sure he will eat more as he gets the hang of it and gets to try other new foods.
We were told to try a tablespoon of cereal mixed with formula for the first few days until he gets the hang of the spoon, then we can start feeding him the cereal twice a day and 2-3 tablespoons per feeding.
After a few weeks of that we will be starting to try fruits and vegetables. Can't wait!
