How much does the uterus grow in pregnancy
I think it's hilarious when food is used to compare the size of a baby in the womb or the uterus. The site below says this about the changes of the uterus during pregnancy.
I was always told the uterus is pear shaped and automatically thought it meant the size too. This site says pre-pregnancy it is the size of an orange and situated deep in the pelvis.
At 12 weeks the size of a grapefruit.
Second trimester it's the size of a papaya.
End of the third trimester it's the size of a watermelon.
