Have you started spring cleaning or do you spring clean?

I do and we have started. Then we all go sick so we took a step back since only the bare necessities are getting done.

Here's my list of what I like to do:

Wipe down the walls
Vacuum/dust for cobwebs
Clean the carpets if it's in the budget
Clean out the pantry completely and wipe down the shelves and completely reorganize it (we did that for the first time since moving in here nearly 3 years ago so it was looonnng overdue). Our pantry is like a closet size with double bi-fold doors.
Clean the kitchen cupboards inside out
Go through clothing
Get rid of junk
Clean the closets
Clean the windows and doors
Do yard and barn clean up

We have soo much to do.....what about you?

I know, I can't wait to get the house cleaned up again after we've been sick. But now it's getting warmer outside and we have outside work to do....inside will have to get done on raining days, I guess.

        Yep.

I am sorting winter clothes into what may fit next year and what absolutely will not. Pulled out summer stuff and got rid of anything that was too small or not in good condition.

I plan to rent a rug shampooer sometime in the very near future. I was looking at my rugs today, it's time!

My yard is next for sure. I moved in here October of last year and then it got cold super fast. Did I mention there is forest all around me? Yep, leaves from last year still need to be raked. Blah.

I am a neat freak so I clean, constantly. I also like things organized. I find it difficult to retire to bed if I know the house is messy. I dislike clutter and messes. So, Spring cleaning happens daily to weekly here. LOL My husband is the complete opposite but he does clean up a lot outside and fixes stuff (always good to have a handy man, even though I can do it myself). :)

Gosh, my hubby can be a pack rat and thinks he needs to keep everything, even a bracelet from the hospital that said: risk when he was burned a year and a half ago. It was just a yellow bracelet, nothing special. I found it on the floor one day with other junk. Let's just say it got "accidently" tossed with the rest of the junk. He has not bothered to ask about it (probably forgot about it). I do this with other stuff and junk that isn't needed and just lies there. I don't know why he insists on keeping useless papers and items. Also, I can clean my kitchen table and stuffed is piled on it the next day. My mother always said: there is a place for everything and everything in it's place.
It is much easier to find something if it is put back. My hubby always asks me where something is when he misplaced it. I tell him, "If you put it back last time, you'd be able to find it this time." LOL If I took a week vacation, I fear what my house would look like once I returned. D=

I don't use bleach. We use a cinnamon scented cleaner that disinfects but smells good! But open windows are a must! We only opened one yesterday and it was great to have the wind coming through with fresh air.

I have to spring clean. My indoor allergies are terrible, I'm allergic to so much stuff, so cleaning really helps. I started yesterday and my mother-in-law can't stop laughing because she kept hearing me sneeze. She has nicknamed me Sneezy, lol. I have a feeling my allergies are going to kill me this season. You never really know just how dirty something is until you go to move it.

Yes I have, however I try not to get into any routine about a lot of things it makes life boring and routine, just getting over the holidays now spring, clean up fix up, then here comes summer, then all of a sudden; back to school, I like to liven things up by sowing new seed, and taking lots of risk, I will not allow my children to overshadow my purpose , I always tell them that the things that we enjoy the most came from people who do not give up, who are willing to pull all nighters and take risk. I always remind them of a scripture in the bible Ecclesiastes 11:4 He who observes the wind will never sow! Faith is always present, and we lose sight of our divine calling because we somehow get sidetracked with the everyday of life, don't live on the sidelines of life! Is what I always say, the spring cleaning will be there if it must wait then it will!

I did my spring cleaning in the middle of January. We weeded through all of the junk. There are a few deep cleaning things I need to get to, but I don't see it happening anytime soon.
