Introducing rice cereal

My son does not seem to get full now. He used to go without a bottle every 4 hrs and now it is sometimes 2.5-3 hrs. He just finished 4 ounces and started crying when he bottle was empty and making his sucking motions to eat. Is it safe to introduce rice cereal?

He is 11 weeks old today.

(He cannot hold more than 5 ounces of milk and seems constantly hungry).

Thank you. That is probably true. He would swallow medicine though. I thought about mixing it with his formula in a bottle (my mother did that). I am not sure at what age they begin to use a spoon to swallow. He was eyeballing my husband while we ate and mimicked his mouth movements as he ate.

I plan to. I remember him saying maybe around 3-4 months he can have rice cereal. I am going to explain what Jonah does and maybe he will give me the go ahead. Jonah was mimicking my husband's mouth movements while we ate dinner tonight. I was very much surprised by this.
