At what age should children have regular chores?
Mason and Audrey both have chores. Hayden always helps me with the laundry, but it's more of a game for her. She sits while I throw all the clothes at her out of the dryer. Then she moves the unfolded clothes around while I fold. It's not a chore, but I have her do it with me at least 3 times/week so that she's used to it. Once she is older, it will become one of her chores. We did similar things with Mason and Audrey - having them watch us do things, and then slowly shifting the responsibility over to them.
I think I started with daily shores that they HAD to do around the time they started school. Before that it was just helping with things here and there.
thank you all for the help
