Tylenol & Motrin

Motrin should only be used when they have a fever is what my pediatrician said. It is tough on their kidneys and livers. So only time to use that is when a fever happens. In this case, you would switch off. Tylenol, Motrin, Tylenol, Motrin. That way their bodies don't get immune to one of the medicines or hurt them in long run. I only use Tylenol for things like teething or cold or something. Motrin & Tylenol for fever (way described). other than that I try to steer clear of both.

yes alternating when the fever hits helps tremendously. just Tylenol didn't cut it for my little one. But I had to alternate before 6 months. I didn't want Raelynn to be tortured in the hospital if I could help her myself so I called and that's what I was told to do. Motrin for FEVER ONLY!!! But she was about 3 or 4 months old. It didn't hurt her but if fever happens just ask pediatrician about the switching method. sure they will agree :)
