Swim lessons - ugh!

Is there a parenting task I dislike more than taking all 3 kids to swimming lessons at the end of a long workday? Hard to think of one at the moment...

Oh, the kids do have fun. It's Mom that doesn't :-) I've had a few of my less stellar parenting moments at swimming, that's for sure! When they all come out wet, hungry and tired and I need to get them home, it's exhausting. But I hate having to go more than once a week, so I just do all 3 at the same time. It's a lose-lose proposition - lol! Anyway, at least they are really coming along, and I do get a lot of pride from watching them conquer the pool...

I totally get it. And I try to be as prepared as possible for any hunger, meltdown alike. Cozy sweats and warm clothes after, immediately shoving a small snack bag of fishees in their hands once dry or a lollipop.

My kids grew to know that every Wednesday we had in n put burger after swim lessons. Or even homemade quesadillas. They were easy dinners.
They also got to skip baths that night. I know some people think that's gross but I always think the chemicals in the pool kills any bacteria. Lol.

And they always sleep great after and that's early bed for me so I watch a movie Etc. hope you're able to flip it. :)

Thanks, ladies. I'm not trying to complain too much. It's very much a "first world problem" to have, if you know what I mean. It's not an activity I particularly enjoy, but really not a big deal when you think about the real-life problems that others face. I was mostly just trying to be self-deprecating.

I'm a working mom of 4. My husband, kids and I live in Toronto, Canada. I love to read pretty much anything I can get my hands on, am addicted to chocolate and kissing my kids' necks (they all still let me do it!) and am a bit of a political junkie.
