Best early pregnancy testing: doctor vs. home tests

The pregnancy test strips that doctor use to test your urine are the same thing that you can buy to use at home. The amount of the pregnancy hormone they can detect can slightly fluctuate per test and sometimes the home tests are even more sensitive than the doctors tests but all in all they are pretty much the same.

Blood tests are usually more accurate and can only be done by your doctor. They can measure if you have any pregnancy hormone in your system and they can measure how much is in your system. A blood test can give your doctor a better idea of how far along you are.

I used the home pregnancy tests all the way through and only went to the doctor with my first to confirm it, even after a home test. That's when I learned they accept the home test results as accurate. I didn't know that before then.
