who is receiving child support and government assistance? need help.

because I receive government help asst welfare wants lo's father to pay child support but he buys her everything diapers, clothes, wipes etc and also pays half of my rent, is there a way to not get him to pay child support? or the government still makes him pay child support even if his helping?

I was thinking of taking lo out of my case then so they don't make him pay for it. Should that do it? or they would take my sons and mine benefits away as well?

they wanted me to do the same, but they said that i can get a notarized agreement made between us to take to the child support agency letting them know that he is helping with the baby, as well as what he is helping with and paying for. its just so they know the father is helping, now my sons father on the other hand has not paid anything towards his son, other than gifts when he does see him, in 3 years, I talked to him about coming to a legal agreement, and he has failed to work with me on it, so tomorrow i go to file on him.

I receive government assistance. They told me in the beginning since her father wasn't around (he's in jail) that I would need to file for child support unless he would be living with me. I went ahead and filed for it, and he doesn't have to pay for it anyways because of the situation. But you would probably get the amount of cash assistance that that you got before you had your lo. I asked about it and that's pretty much what I understood from it.

Well its kinda complicated we did wanted to move together but we still trying to work things out. So if he does move in they can't make him pay CS? but I guess I won't have any government asst since he has a job. in the other hand my other child's father in in jail as well don't know what they will do with that?

From what I understand if you're living together then no, he shouldn't have to pay any type of child support. And with my daughters dad being in jail, the case was opened, ( we had a dna test done in our case) but since he's in there he won't have to pay child support since he has no way to make any income, they're not going to charge him or anything. They told me if the court costs and everything else is not paid once he gets out then I can take him for child support then.

Yea that's the part I'm worried about I have a 10 year old that is autistic and has several meds and doctors app's and with no medicaid I wont be able to pay for it :( but he is not my son's father I don't think they would take their benefits away?

In FL, once the paperwork was sent out to give a date for the court case on establishing child support, we were able to call and say that it was not needed and keep it from proceeding. I wouldn't know about any other states though.
