Help us settle a debate! Who hides the Easter eggs?

Growing up we always decorated the eggs and kept them in the fridge, on Easter we would take the eggs with us to which ever relative was holding brunch and after brunch the adults would hide the eggs and then all the kids would look for them.

My husband said they decorated the eggs and then left them out the night before Easter and the Easter bunny would come in the middle of the night and hide them outside. In the morning after they opened their Easter baskets they would go outside to look for the eggs.

So who hides the eggs in your family? The adults or the Easter bunny?

If the Easter bunny hides them does that mean they sit out all night?

My husbands baskets would be hidden too. Our baskets were never hidden, we left them out and they would be filled and left in their place for us to see them in the morning.

The Easter Bunny, of course! He does it eaaaaaarly in the morning, when it's still dark, and if you use real eggs like my dad did (caused a disaster of a few missed eggs rotting weeks later that couldnt be found til the dog managed it) he uses some of his Easter Bunny Magic to keep them from spoiling so that you can find them! (The magic only lasts through Easter). If you use plastic eggs, he hides them all around the house and outside and uses the brightest ones in the easiest places full of candies and toys for the little kids and hides the slightly less intense eggs in more challenging places for the older kids with some cash and candy inside as a reward for being such a sleuth!

At least, that's how my Aunt did it lol (she organized the hunts)

For my niece and nephew, they thought the easter bunny did it. my niece is 12 going on 20 lol so she doesn't buy it any more but helps me fill the eggs with candy for her brother. When Selena is old enough to participate she will be told its us not the bunny.

If you said the Easter bunny hides the eggs: When does he hid them? Where does he hide them?

Our family did it a little different I think. We dyed eggs that were kept in the fridge but then put on the table as decoration during easter dinner. We also had them as snacks after easter was over.

Easter morning we would open our baskets and then look for those plastic eggs all over the house or outside. They were filled with candy or money and we couldn't open them until we found them all. We had 2 sets of 6 that were rainbow colored. When my brother and I both had all the colors of the rainbow we could open them. That way we helped each other find them it was more fun then fighting over who found more.
