When to give a baby a pillow

Babies don't need pillows. Pillows are not recommended for children under 2. Kids that small can easily suffocate while using one. You should wait to introduce a pillow until they are in a toddler bed. If you want to give them one while they are still sleeping in a crib, go with one that's small (the size of an airline pillow) and firm. Stay away from feather pillows, which are too soft, can set off allergies, and can smother a child if their head sinks into it while they are sleeping.

I wouldn't use a pillow case just to be safe but there are some pillow cases with a zip inseam so the risk of the pillow case coming off and suffocation is less.
      Accurate and safe--thanks for sharing!
