Babies are more resilient than we give them credit for! If she's acting normally and happy, she most likely just had a nice little ride on your trip down. As for your leg, the best treatment is early treatment - and it starts at home. RICE is the first line treatment plan for most sprains and strains: Rest, Ice, Compression and Elevation, and we usually combine that with Tylenol or Ibuprofen for the swelling. Ice it with an ACE wrap around it a few times a day and rest it on a pillow or chair and take the Tylenol or Ibuprofen as often as the instructions say. Give your leg a few days to get better on it's own, but keep an eye out for what we call "Red Flags" - if you can no longer walk on it without extreme pain, swelling and bruising that wraps around the ankle or leg, and warmth in the area that is extremely tender to the touch. These could be signs that you might have a more serious injury.
