Do babies sleep a lot in the womb?

When I could finally start to feel Charlie kick, I got to know his routine very well. Some random kicks throughout the day but still for the most part. Then.. always.. every single overnight at 3:30am, he would play soccer for a good hour. It was so routine that on the rare occasion that it did not happen, I'd get worried (I worried about EVERYTHING). After Charlie was born I still worried because he was honestly asleep for about 23 hours a day.. they said it was normal that they sleep that much. As far as in the womb, yes! They sleep A LOT! I think they sleep so much to prepare for keeping us mama's awake so much :)

My son moved non stop. He would kick and I could feel him turning in there. But he is the same exact way now too. Even in his sleep he moves. You can hear the crib bang against the wall when he rolls. Lol

Definitely. Some of mine slept so much their movements were reassuring they were ok. Others were so active, especially in the evening for some reason, probably because that's when I slowed down enough to notice their every movement.

This is so fun to read! Babies totally are on a silly schedule in utero too! That is actually what makes some babies not know their days and nights very well once they are born.. Monroe was the same as Charlie, Alissa.. very quiet during the day, but active at night.. actually around 9-10pm he would start to move quite a bit, but he did let me sleep amazingly throughout my whole pregnancy! :)
