Fetal Dopplers (aka pre-natal listeners)

Anyone have any recommendations for fetal dopplers (pre-natal listeners)? I would love to buy one to listen to my baby's heartbeat but they all seem to have such bad reviews. Anyone have any success finding a good one?

I've only ever heard bad things about them. Most of them are junk, and then when you can't find the heartbeat you'll panic. I'd just save the listening for your OB appointments :)

I tried one for free back in 2006 but cannot remember the brand of it or how I even got to try it for free. But if they do offer free trials, it might be a good idea to try a few to see which one you like best before you buy.
I bought a real medical fetal doppler because I never heard good things about the other ones. Some places even rent the medical grade dopplers. My medical doppler was wonderful and it was the piece of mind I needed because my baby was very sick and wasn't supposed to make it so we listened twice a day to see if she was still alive. It really calmed my nerves and gave me the peace of mind to sleep.
