My son is my alarm clock...and my schedule

I wanted to sleep but my son had other plans. 5 am and he wanted to get out of his jammies and play. I am finally coming out of my half-state of slumber, and he is still wide-eyed! :p

What time do your little ones arise?

I tried having him lay with me, which usually works, but he would not have it. As soon as I got him out of his jammies and into a onesie (fed a little before that), he was happy and wired! I usually get out of bed around 6-7 am though. I just needed that extra hour. Apparently, he did not. LOL

If I let them they would sleep in until 9 or 10. They usually do on Saturday's the only day of the week that we sleep in because during the week they have school and on Sunday we go to Church. The older kids can sleep longer than my younger kids, usually my younger kids get up first.

Maybe he will start sleeping in when he gets older; however, my hubby and I are early risers, so I doubt it.

I think so, it seems like the younger they are the earlier they get up. I'll go to get the big kids up for school and they are always saying give me 5 more minutes mom lol. After a few times of that I'll tell them that they have used up their 5 more minutes already and it's time to get up, at that point they usually listen to me but once in awhile they don't want to listen. My mom use to pour water over my brother's heads when they wouldn't wake up but I just can't bring myself to doing that. I'll turn the lights on in their rooms so the lights are distracting them from sleeping if they don't get up.

Hahaha! I could not do that, either. My mom would pull the curtains back on our window because my little sister never liked to get up. She is still that way. My older sisters, she had to argue with them. I was always an early riser but I would be in bed early. We usually retire to bed around 9 pm, sometimes earlier. I ramble, I know. lol

I always got up when my mom woke me up too. I just remember what she did to my brother's and I thought about doing it a few times but then thought I'm not going to do that lol.

Hahaha! I'd be the same. I'd rather get up dry than wet. That is a little funny she did that to them.
