Can't really protect your kids from a cold.

Did you know that a cold is most contagious 24 hours prior to someone actually having symptoms??

Which literally means you can't protect your child from it. Just keep them healthy and strong so it will limit how long it lasts or the severity.

This information both freaked me out and made me relax more. Knowing that they're just going to get sick and I couldn't Akways stop it? Let me relax a bit.

Hate hate hate it, but there's nothing we can do! I just read, though, that with each cold, your kids will be that much more immune in the future, which of course is a good thing. We're on the tail end of a cold ourselves, so nothing seems like good news until her nose stops running!

We live in Los Angeles, CA. I'm a writer, comedian, actor and single mom of two. Parenting is hard. I try to keep a sense of humor about it all and find the find the funny... in what is most likely NOT funny (i.e. boogers, meltdowns, homework, etc.).
