I know I'm a bad mom but....

it really hasn't been my fault.... Our medi-cal insurance has been so freaking screwed up for 4 months that kado hasn't even been able to see a dr for shots or check ups :( it's fucking depressing but no one will see us because it says we have medi-cal for a certain county and we don't! They won't give us a dr or let us see anyone! Even if we pay cash :(

I feel like a huge failure :( I'm trying really hard to take care of my baby. I'm just glad he hasn't gotten sick :(

I had the same problem with Tristen. Took me three months to get it fixed...the day we moved out of Cali we got it fixed! I spent hours every day on the phone with them and finally got ahold of a lady at medi-cal that told me about dr's in our area that use their own medi-cal programs. I took Tristen in there and they signed him up for it and he got his shots that day. Also even though it's not ideal, the health department will at least get him his shots. If you have wic or contact their office some of them do vaccines in their offices. They will do little check ups as well. California is HORRIBLE! They cancelled my medi-cal a week after I had Tristen and even though I had a c-section I was never able to do even my 6 week check-up! I would call Medi-cal and ask them about dr's. You may have to yell at them! Lol

They did the same to me...we moved counties right after Tristen was born...what a mess! Ask them about clinics that have their own medi-cal program. They should be able to find you something. The lady that finally helped me told me there are like 300 different medi-cal programs! So crazy!

ObamaCare is the worst! Maybe try calling the county that they say he has medi-cal in and making them send you a letter saying he is not covered in that county and take it into the office in the county you are in. Make sure they give you a receipt for your paperwork. I had to do that a few times with Tristen and then in our new state as well otherwise they wouldn't cover him.

I think when we lived in Cali we had to do that twice because we didn't know to ask for a receipt the first time we dropped the paperwork off. Whatever you do don't mail it in!

Why would they deny cash? That just seems odd... I know many people without insurance that pay cash and even get a discount because they do!
