Another symptom...Sorry this one is a little on awkward side!

So, I have been eating pretty healthy and trying to keep a normal eating routine. But I have noticed becoming more constipated as the weeks go on. I have read that it happens because the digestive track slows down, just wondering if anyone else dealt with this and what they did?

Coffee! A cup of coffee everyday will keep your bowels regular.

Unfortunately I can't drink coffee anymore, I tried that a few weeks ago and it gave me a huge stomach ache!

I was going to suggestion more water and high fiber foods. Didn't know coffee keeps one regular, not being a coffee drinker myself.

Caffeine is a stimulant and it makes your digestive tract speed up. And according to the FDA one cup a day is safe during pregnancy.

I drink almost a gallon of water a day and I'm in love with veggies... I think a softener will do the trick.

Apples always confused me. They are part of the BRAT diet that you are supposed to eat when you have diarrhea. I never understood how apples were supposed to help for diarrhea and constipation.

They make prenatal vitamins that already have stool softeners in them. The doctor can prescribe you a prescription or I bought some over the counter. I can't remember the names of the brand, it might have been Similac, but you had to take two pills a day, the come in one package. If I missed on or two days I was constipated. As soon as I took them, later that day everything started working again. Just an idea

I used watered-down apple juice and it worked. I mean when your child's favorite food is bananas you gotta keep the bowels going somehow!
