I'm at a loss...

My son has been sleeping well through the night, 5-6 hrs. Recently, that has stopped. For the past 3 days, he has been waking up in screaming fits and wants me to hold him. He also gets upset if he cannot see more or if he is in someone else's arms, including my husband's. He has also been spitting up a lot more. I have taken him to the doctor and the doctor said he is fine and it is normal for all that spit up to occur. I do not understand what is going on with him. The attachment stage usually comes later. My son is almost 14 weeks old.

Have any of you experienced this with your baby?

Very normal and common for what you are describing for a three month old. At this age they often go through a growth spurt, brain and developmental milestone growth and sleep regression.

Thank you, all. I just feel so bad for him because he can't tell me what's wrong.
He does power naps during the day but now he is doing them at night, too. I just feel helpless. This is my first, and I was not sure if it was normal or not.

He is back to his regular sleeping patterns for two nights now. Thank you all. Those 4 days and nights were a nightmare. My poor little man was aching. :(
