Help!

I am a new mom! My baby was born 2 months early and spent a month and a half in the NICU. I did okay I had some depression while he was in there. Well now he is 5 months his actual age (3 months corrected) and I am having some problems, I get agitated very easily with him and frustrated and I start yelling at my boyfriend because the baby is frustrating me. The baby can just be whining and I get frustrated! I've tried the count to 3 trick and any other possible tricks in the book and it`s starting to ruin mine and my boyfriends relationship because its an everyday thing. I'm running out of options someone please tell me what I can do, I know I'm not the only one!

Nope. You're not the only one. You'd be surprised how many women go through this with preemies or not.
Your hormones are outta whack. Your life just flipped upside down and you're tired.
But at this point you should be feeling a little better so I highly recommend talking to your doctor ASAP. Either you can take vitamins or something stronger to get you over this.
But do the right thing for yourself first. You gotta put your oxygen mask on before the child's on an aircraft so use that in life.

It sounds like you are suffering from postpartum depression. Please talk to your doctor first thing tomorrow morning and get some help. Postpartum depression can appear exactly how you are describing it. The most important thing you can do is seek help. Please let your family and close friends know you need support as well. It is really tough adjusting to a new baby and even tougher having a preemie and going through the NICU experience. Big hugs to you!

Any history of depression increases your risk of getting depression again. It is common for parents to get post traumatic stress syndrome(PTSD) from dealing with the NICU too.

You probably had PTSD from the shooting as well. It is not your fault you are having these issues and they are treatable. There are many safe medications that you can take and you will feel a million times better.

Please keep us updated on how you are doing!
