So last night, my husband was in a very bad mood. I think part of it is becasue he is working 7:30 - 4 instead of his normal 8:30 - 5 since he is covering for someone on vacation. He is not a morning person, so getting up at 6 is a challenge for him. He has been going to bed at about the same time as me (I get up at 4:30) and is getting more sleep than me, so I don't know why he is crabby!

Kailtyn would cry every time he tried to hold her, so he would hand back to me so I could not get anything done. I think it's because she could sense he was not happy, though he did not want to believe that. He decided to leave and go to Menards when I was getting her ready for bed. Not sure when he got home or when he came to bed, since I got to bed my 8:30. It was so nice to get an extra 45 minutes of sleep. Hopefully he is in a better mood tonight especially since I did not get anything done last night and he did not help with things, so there is a lot to do!

Ugh.. I know that feeling and you may be right about your baby not wanting to stay n the arms of someone in a bad mood. And I'm sure that the baby crying didn't make hime feel any better.. no matter how we put it, it is still rejection.. and from your child..

Maybe try to flip this and reach out to him with a nice text.. telling him you know how hard he's working and anything you can do to help.. - as much as you probably want to smack him instead and shut down try to do the opposite and it can help..
We've been emailing/texting this morning and he seems to be in a better mood. It helps that he is having a good day at work. I told him she needed time with me since the evening before I had a work event and only got to spend about 30-45 minutes with her before she went to bed, so she needed some time with mom.

Yes he goes back to his normal hours next week. He was in a much better mood last night and so was Kailtyn. It was so different from the night before!

I work outside of the home full time and so does my husband. I cherish all the time I get to spend with my daughter.
