Sleep advice needed please?!

Good Morning Fellow Mommys!!! :) My 8 month old son was on a schedule of going to bed around 730-800 each night. I was not able to put him to bed for two nights in a row due to a work event, and now his sleep routine has been thrown off. He won't go to sleep until 900-930. I try putting him down early, but all he does is scream and cry for a long time until I come and get him. Any advice on how to get him to bed earlier and stay in bed?

He would take 2 naps a day.. One around 930-1000ish and the second around 230-330ish.. He still takes his naps I believe.. It is hard for me to tell since I am at work all day long.. I think his afternoon naps are sort of becoming shorter or not as often so I would think he would be even more tired and want to go to sleep.. I am going to try and take the advice and put him to bed 15 minutes earlier and just let him stay up and not fight it.. Hopefully it will work and in time he will be back on schedule..

I agree that gradually getting him back to a normal bedtime is best. Trying to do it all at once will be hard. I'd also do a long wind-down time if you can. Like start quiet time with him at the normal bed time and keep at it until he's asleep.

Also, I think 8 months can be an age where they drop a nap. I know that right before Avery dropped a nap it would be really hard to get her to go to bed at night.
