baby time .. maybe? ahh who knows!

think i may have asked this before, but not sure, ovulation, i always used to use these calculators online bc i just dont get how to figure out when your ovulating by doing the math, dont understand how those calculators get those days, its all confusing to me. my husband and i stopped ttc back in jan i belive, and said we wouldnt start back up untill my periods became regular, well they have!:) their always a day late or a day early which is awesome compared to the 3 periods a month i was having! ha! im not 100% sure if we are gonna ttc again, we have alot planned for this year, so we may hold off till next year, but then again who knows;) in the meantime can someone explain how to do the math to figure out when ovulation comes?

Basically your cycle is cut in half with ovulation marking the middle point. The second half of a women's cycle is almost always 14 days, no matter how long your cycle is. So if you have a 24 day cycle you would probably ovulate on day 10, and if you have a 32 day cycle you would ovulate on day 18. Basically look at when your next period is supposed to start and count backwards 14 days.

Of course, this is just a general formula. Everyone's body is different and it's probably best to have another method if you're really worried about it. I would always count back 14 days and then start having sex every other day for the week leading up to ovulation and one day past. It worked for us!
