Breastfeeding is messy!

I had over-active letdown in the beginning, which basically means I was a breastmilk fountain. I would literally squirt milk 3-4 inches straight out once letdown occured. My other breast would leak while she was nursing too.

I strongly suggest investing in nursing pads. Stick it in your bra on the opposite side to catch any leaking. I also tucked burp cloths into my bra under the side she was nursing on to catch the overflow. It got better as Avery got older. I guess my nipples just figured out the proper flow, LOL.

In general, applying firm pressure to the breast while it's leaking can stop it. In the mornings when I'm really full I still have to put a bra on before I nurse so the pressure keeps my other side from leaking. Otherwise, I'd just keep nursing pads on you at all times until things calm down.

I usually press against my non-nursing boob. I have oversupply so I totally squirt across the room as well ;)

Ah man I remember those days! I had to have a wash rag or towel for the other breast while Tristen was eating or I would be soaked! Lol

I didn't know either. It didn't happen while we were in the hospital and then that first time I fed him at home I felt this drip on my arm and I was like "what is that?" I looked down and my shirt was leaking through my bra! lol it was so bad. We never had the money for nursing pads so I used tissues and pieces of plastic bags that I cut to fit in my bra...so ghetto but you do what you have to so your not soaked while in public! lol

I used burp clothes too because sometimes the leakage would just go right through my nursing pads!
