6 month doesn't let me leave the room

My daughter has been a very calm playful baby but since few days she has been getting quite cranky. The routine I had set for her no more makes her happy and all she wants is for me to hold her and stay around her. She is a very active baby so it gets very difficult for me to keep up with her energy and stay around every minute. My house and I are a mess cause I just don't get any time away. What can I do to calm her ? Is this a phase at 6 months ? I don't have the heart to let her cry it out alone.

Sheila, that's a great idea. The other idea I have is to ask someone (maybe a friend or a family member) to come hang out a couple times a week so she can have the contact she wants, but you can also take a shower alone. ;) Hopefully she does grow out of it!! Wishing you luck!

U right I know but I am so paranoid about carriers from day one. I don't use cloth or the other ones somehow the way the head hangs freaked me out. I tried but it just makes me super anxious. I assumed maybe she's started teething but than I am not sure what's making her so anxious that she has to see me around. I read clinginess is normal but it's so difficult to figure my day out and tiring!

Sheila's tip is great.. but so is Kimberley's.. I know it's probably hard because she doesn't go to anyone but you.. but do you leave her alone with Dad sometimes? From 6 months and on, it's going to be SO important for her to get used to being with people other than yourself.. sometimes the longer you wait to do so just makes it worse.. just an idea! Maybe just leave her with Dad for an afternoon.. ?
