Penn and Teller take on vaccines causing autism (NSFW)

Okay, so I like the show by Penn and Teller called Bullsh*t.They are a crass show, for sure so watching this at work is not advisable. That said, they really do a good job covering the myth that vaccinations cause autism. The video is long, but if you feel like watching it I would love to hear your thoughts!

Big Pharma is really spending big bucks to prove that vaccines are safe, but, unfortunately, time and countless damaged children have proven that they aren't. Do they prevent diseases? Doubtful. History shows that the diseases come in "waves," so to speak, and were already on the decline before the vaccine came out. For that matter, getting the disease guarantees a natural, lifetime immunity. People did die from these diseases years ago, but then many other factors were involved -- hygiene, proper cooking and food storage, etc. Probably the worst of these diseases was polio. Two scientists (Salk and Sabin) developed a vaccine for it. Salk developed a killed virus vaccine, while Sabin developed a live virus vaccine. When the medical community chose to use Sabin's vaccine, Dr. Salk said that all recent cases of polio were due to the Sabin vaccine and not the virus. And how did the doctors respond? They said he was jealous! They didn't address the issue of whether he was right or not. Personally, I did not vaccinate my children. Virology is a deep subject, so I'll let this rest with the fact that I'm forever thankful that I didn't.

This was actually addressed in the video. "big pharma" makes approximately 2% of their money on vaccines. It is not the money making industry that people would be happy to believe.

While handwashing may be an effective way to prevent disease pretty much NO one does it the proper way. Read this manual by the CDC on hand washing and tell me how many people are doing this right. You? Great. Your kids? Wonderful! But how confident are you that a vast majority of the population is doing this 100% of the time? Not this gal.

And what countless damaged children are we talking about here? It has already been shown through VALID medical testing (not the type that was done because a lawyer wanted specific results) that there is no link between autism and vaccinations. Again, I repeat, there is absolutely no medical proof that vaccinations cause autism. None.
