delivering at a different hospital

I'm planning to deliver my baby in a different city it's the same hospital where I had both my girls at. Now should I tell my Dr or show up when labor starts at the new hospital? That's the same thing I did with my 2nd pregnancy I was supposed to deliver at the hospital where I was seeing my Dr but I couldn't make it so I went to the closest hospital to me which is the one I want to deliver this baby at. My plans are to stay at my in laws when it gets close to my due date and go to the hospital I like.

It is important to tell your doctor now where you plan on delivering. Your doctor might not have privileges at the other hospital. Is there a reason you wont deliver at the hospital your doctor works out of? A new doctor and hospital wont have your current medical records or know your wishes. If you are going to go to a different hospital your doctor really needs to know.

The hospital where I live you don't get your own room you have to share. The hospital I want to go to is 45 minutes away and you get your own room and it's big. I will differently take the hospital tour to see it myself. My sister had her son at the hospital by me she said it's ok. If the hospital tour goes good then I'll have the baby at the hospital by my house and the hospital is really like 10 minutes away.

Personally I am more concerned about knowing and trusting the people that will be delivering my baby. Please make sure your doctor knows your plans so he can make sure your current medical records get to the right place.

You can also pre-register if you're certain of the hospital where you're delivering, and that can eliminate some of the paperwork or questions that would be asked upon entering the hospital. Your current doctor could provide your medical information and history, should that be necessary.

I know I shouldn't be picky about what hospital I go to. I just want a healthy delivery.

To Make it easy and not doing to much I think I'm just going to have my baby at the hospital by me I'm comfortable with my Dr and she's very nice . I didn't think about I'll have to get use to another Dr again.
