Hacked baby monitors

This really irritates me... and people obviously have too much time on their hands and need to go get a job.

Do you worry about this? Have you followed any of the tips in the article to prevent it?

It really creeps me out but I am glad that the media is getting the word out so parents can keep their babies safe.

OH HELL NO. Hell hath no fury. We didn't really have a baby monitor, but it's so scary that those are such open systems that people can get in! My husband's techy, so when we talked about doing this, he was going to set up the cameras and server and whatnot himself,...but we just ended up Skyping a few times a day and cosleeping, so it never came to be.

So I can't get this out of my head. I think I would recite what Liam Neeson tells the villains in "Taken," or something like it. Makes me so mad to even think about!

Yes, I've heard of baby monitors being hacked, though I don't know that was the word they use to use. That's why I have steered clear of them, especially after hearing the private going ons of another family in the monitor we had with our first.
