Maternity Clothes: Do/Don't

I personally LOVE my maternity clothes I bought. I shopped Old Navy, they were have a 25% off Maternity Sale, and got a sweater, a shirt, 2 tank-tops, and a pair of jeans and I am absolutely in love with them. They feel so comfortable and don't slide at all. I also bought a more expensive sweater from Motherhood, but I don't think I will buy much from there, if anything. I mainly use yoga pants, pj's, or other stretchy clothes though. Well, besides my maternity jeans, I wear those almost every day. What did you opt for when your jeans no longer fit? Did you use a belly band? What is your opinion on maternity underwear/thongs (are they necessary)? Chat away :)

I am most comfortable in granny panties that are a size or two bigger than I wore before I got pregnant, and I live in my pj pants. In the house, I opt for my moomoo. In the summer months, I prefer summer dresses that are a few sizes larger than I wear prepregnancy. For outings where I have to look decent, I opt for the one pair of Maternity jeans I have found that actually fit me (I have long legs, so finding pants is impossible). I also like to raid my husband's waredrobe.

I never got maternity underwear. I was able to wear my regular underwear the entire time with both pregnancies.

With my first pregnancy I got a small handful of tops and a couple pair of shorts and a pair of jeans at the Motherhood store because the other stores I went to didn't have hardly any selection. With my second pregnancy I got a couple more tops at the motherhood store and a shirt, a pair of shorts, and a pair of capris at Kohls.

I wore a lot of yoga pants, lounge pants, sweat pants, and athletic shorts with both pregnancies. I mainly got maternity tops so that I would have shirts that would be long enough but weren't going to fit like a sack. Unless a store is having a big sale maternity clothes cost about the same no matter where you go around here so I went where the selection is the best.

I didn't have much maternity clothes because I didn't need a lot. I wore them for going out. I just wore whatever for work or at home.

If you are looking for gently used maternity clothes there might be a "Me and Mommy To Be" store somewhere near you. The one that I looked at didn't have much for maternity clothes the one time I wandered in there not long after they opened shortly after my first was born.
