Ugh!! Gotta love renovation time!!

We are having our bathroom renovated as well as having a new bathroom installed. But, as exciting as it is, the work to get there is no fun at all! The workers are there first thing in the morning until just before dark. It is loud and dusty, and none of us including the dog are happy about that. I just can't wait for the final touches and we can have a nice brand new bathroom that is clean and works!!! :)

I remember remodeling when we did things ourselves and it was fun in the beginning but it took my husband forever since he'd do it in the evenings and on the weekends. I remember I couldn't wait for it all to be done. I actually wasn't until we moved out and had the professionals finish it up so we could sell our home. Hang in there!

Hi ladies, I am sorry I did not get back to your comments yesterday. When I got home, apparently there was a burst in one of the pipes and we had water all over the kitchen. Fun!!! I WAS really excited for all this renovations but now, I am just desperate to get some order back in my house.

We have been living in a house that has only ONE bathroom and 4 bedrooms. And while I was pregnant, we had 2 roommates living with us and sharing a bathroom, along with myself, my boyfriend and his 10 year old daughter. You can imagine how much fun that might have been, as well as messy. (The bathroom last time any work was done on the bathroom I think had to have been over 30 years ago.) Well now my boyfriends grandmother is moving in to one of the back rooms, and we had to build a bathroom for her, because there is no way we can go back to sharing just one bathroom in the house.

We have done most of the renovations on the house ourselves, i.e. the kitchen, the hallway, our bedroom, and his daughters room, and had the electricity re-wired (it was done in the 70's by my boyfriends grandfather!). So we have been pretty busy, but these bathrooms are just too much for us, and now we know why!!! I'll get pictures today of the bathrooms and how they are doing!

Just ready for it to be over and soon!!!!!!!! :)

Sorry to hear about the burst pipe! Why is it renovations always take a detour? Sounds like you have a busy household, I can see why you'd be ready for everything to be just done!
