My kids will never...

I was watching a movie last night and they talked about going to the video store and renting a movie. Instantly I thought that my kids will never rent a movie. We have Netflix and there are no more video rent places where we live. When I was a kid and teen it was so exciting to go to the video rental store and pick out a video with my friends.

The more I think about it the more I realize how life has changed.

What will your kids never do that you did?

When I was first pregnant with Mini I worked at Blockbuster, sigh. It's sad to think about that.

My kids will never have to adjust the TV antenna. Or use a black and white TV, I don't think they even make those anymore, lol! I had a little black and white TV with antenna when I was a kid and thought I was hot stuff. I would watch it while talking on my cordless phone with no caller ID and get in trouble if my parents missed a call because no two way calling.

I'm dating myself a bit, yes?

Our tv didn't have a remote. We had to turn a dial on the tv to change the channel.

The funny thing is, I still remember all the phone numbers of my friends from high school but barely know any other numbers by heart now b/c they are all in my phone. So, basically, if I lose my phone, I can call my high school friend's parents and that's it :-)

Listen to cassette tapes and recording a song from the radio to it. You had to be ready to hit record the second it came on!

Visit the cockpit of an airplane while it is in flight; be able to do something embarrassing without being worried about it being plastered on the internet; send handwritten letters to a pen pal...
