..it can be!

Co-Sleeping can be very safe, if done properly and if you are aware of everything you need to be aware of.. I honestly swore I would never co-sleep with a babe.. and then Monroe happened :) And that first night at home, I just couldn't bare having him sleep by himself.. I mean, 3 days old and sleeping solo.. no way! :) So I put him in bed with us.. instantly, our sleep changed.. but we have learned to make it work and get sleep! My husband and I have never been INSANELY heavy sleepers.. but not super light either.. instantly when we started sleeping with Monroe, we became AWARE sleepers.. it's hard to explain, but we are both very aware of where he is and it has worked so well. We don't stuff him in around blanket, sheets or pillows.. we always make sure his mouth is clear to breath.. and we always make sure we are both positioned properly.. let's just say we sacrifice our positions for his :) Well worth it if you ask me! That's our personal story :) And might I add.. we all sleep amazingly well!
