Preparing the Nursery!

In the trailer we bought, there was already a children's room, with white paint over very well-adhered wallpaper that came with trailer, covered in red, blue, yellow, and green splatter-paint. Ooooh goodness! I convinced DH to clean out the room, as we were using it for storage. Time to start sanding away those drips running down the wall! Or not. It's tough work to do alone! Plus, at week 27 (almost), I have been feeling lightheaded easily. Baby steps and it will be done soon enough. I can't wait until we actually can start PAINTING! I have everything all ready to go, Just need to finish sanding and wash the walls down. Then the fun can begin!

Looks like Jackson Pollock visited your place. I would leave one wall that way for my oldest but that is just me. She likes a lot of color and I would tell her that is the wall she can color on with her crayons so that way hopefully she wouldn't color on any of the other walls. But that is just because my oldest has already colored on all of the living room walls, the hall way walls, and the walls in her room. My fault for dozing off with baby for a half hour when big sister had her crayons.

Dry erase decals are fun. I have a few but they are just circles that are hot pink. My mom got them for me because my house is a black hole for papers. They come in the door and promptly disappear only to be found much too late.

How exciting! I have a daughter who would love the paint splattered walls. :) All the work will be worth it in the end. Don't overdo it though, especially if you are getting lightheaded.
