Too Much Drool?

Babies are little slobber monsters. That drippy spit is totally normal. Especially when they start teething, then fountains of drool will seem to flow from their lips. It's nothing to be concerned about. Just gently wipe to face clean to keep it from chapping. If you can't keep up with the wetness then try a barrier cream on their chin and cheeks like Soothe and Heal by Lansinoh.

If the baby is exhibiting other developmental delays they may also have impared swallowing abilities. This could cause excessive drooling and even issues eating. Generally speaking, drool will not be the only symptom of developmental delay though. It's more like a side affect.
