Cats and pregnancy

You can be around cats while you are pregnant, you just have to be careful around their litterbox. The best option is to have someone else clean the litterbox; however, if that is not an option, then buy some good plastic gloves and a face mask. That is what I did when my husband was out of town. Also, if you clean it at least once a day, the bacteria does not have as much time to grow that could potentially harm your baby. The vet said clean it at least once every 24 hours. If you have a cat and you stop giving them attention because you are pregnant, they may see the baby as a threat and may act up around your baby. That will not be good for anyone!

Sounds right to me. My husband said that if he had to scoop the litter for nine months, I had to change all poopy diapers for nine months! Yeah, right!

That's what I always heard too and I thought I read that women previously exposed were immune to toxoplasmosis. Anyone else hear that?

I work outside of the home full time and so does my husband. I cherish all the time I get to spend with my daughter.
