Pregnant women shouldn't be around cats...

It's safe to be around cats but always wash your hands and face after. Cats paws have been in their litter box where germs are breeding!
Have someone else take care of the litter boxes while your pregnant, if no one can help then wear gloves and a mask.
Toxoplasmosis is an infection you can get from a microscopic parasite called Toxoplasma gondii. Although the infection generally causes a mild, symptomless illness in people with healthy immune systems, it's risky during pregnancy because the parasite may infect the placenta and your unborn baby.

Great advice but I think if you've been exposed to cats and their feces, like in childhood or before you get pregnant, you are supposedly immune to Toxoplasma? Has anyone else heard that? It's been a while since I have read a pregnancy book so maybe my memory is lapsing again!
